Adobe InDesign Freezes When Loading: Initializing the SING Gaiji System (Windows)
If Adobe InDesign CS3 is freezing when you start the program while displaying ‘Initializing the SING Gaiji System’ then we can help.
This error pops up when you have a problem with your Sing plug-in. Most people don’t ever use their Sing plug-in but it sure does keep a lot of people from starting up InDesign. One of the steps below should resolve the issue.
Solutions:
- Delete the SING folder. It’s located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\SING
- Delete your SINGmeta.dat file. It’s located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\SING\Datastore\SINGmeta.dat
- Disable the plug-in all together by deleting it. It’s located at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS3\Plug-Ins\Text\SING.apln

Tusind Tak Endelig lykkedes det at åbne Indesign CS3, ved at
følge trin 1 og 3. Jeg havde ingen mappe jeg kunne slette i trin 2, men det lykkedes alligevel:
1:Delete the SING folder. It’s located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\SING
2:Delete your SINGmeta.dat file. It’s located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\SING\Datastore\SINGmeta.dat
3:Disable the plug-in all together by deleting it. It’s located at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS3\Plug-Ins\Text\SING.apln
