Controlling Your Color Profiles On Import
If you are placing and Adobe Photoshop document into an Adobe InDesign document, you have a variety of options (should you choose to use them), including managing the color profile. All you need to do is make sure the “Show Import Options” dialog is checked when choosing your file for importing (Command-D).

Within this dialog box you are not only able to choose a color profile, but also apply your choice of clipping paths and turn on or turn off layers. This makes this dialog particularly useful and powerful.

What can be a little confusing, is the Show Import Options dialog box is different for different file types. For example, the PDF importing options allow you to choose which page you wish to import. The EPS importing options allow you to choose if you wish to rasterize before importing. These are all options to consider, so check them out and be sure to let us know if you have any questions.
