InDesign CS2 Classroom in a Book. Chapter 13: Using XML

My “new” iMac is having some DVD issues so I decided to go the download route in order to install my CS3 applications. Wishing to forgo Adobe.com I checked out their FTP site to see if InDesign CS3 was available there. Unfortunately, no. No, it’s not. Fortunately I did stumble upon Chapter 13 of InDesign CS2 CiB (Classroom in a Book). The file contains Chapter 13: Using XML as well as the example files for the other chapters.

Adobe InDesign CS3 CiB

Granted this is for CS2, not CS3, but aside from a lack of InBooklet I find the programs to be nearly identical. This download is available through adobe’s public FTP site and you can obtain it by clicking here. It’s pretty large (over 200 mbs) but it gives you a nice introduction to what the Classroom in a Book has to offer.

If you own the CiB and have since lost the CD this file contains all that data as well. I personally think the CiB’s are great (although overpriced) for the beginning user and less useful for the more advanced users.  Happy InDesigning.
