Make Circular Text Frames in InDesign
Text boxes are great. They allow better layout and work nicely to group text into objects. The normal Text Box works great for 95% of any layout you’re going to do, but what about that other 5%? Well, that’s what this week’s articles are on; text frames and how to liven them up.
Part 1: Making circular text boxes by using the ellipse tool.
Making a circular text box is quick and easy, heres how to do it.
1. Select the ellipse tool; either left click on the rectangle tool, then select it from the menu or press L.
2. Draw an Ellipse, if you want a circle make sure to hold down the shift key while dragging.
3. Select the Type Tool (or press T), click in the circle and type away.
No muss, no fuss.
