Sync InDesign CS3 Pantone Color Values with PhotoShop

In InDesign CS2 and CS3 you can choose to use LAB values for spot colors rather than cmyk values. Setting this as a default will help you to manage color between InDesign and Photoshop and better ensure that spot colors remain consistent. To do this follow the steps below.

  1. Open InDesign and make sure you don’t have any documents open.
  2. Go to your swatches pallet/panel fly-out menu and select Ink Manager
    Ink Manager
  3. Within the Ink Manager Select Use Standard LAB Values for Spots .Set LAB Values
  4. Click Ok. Close InDesign. That selection is now saved as a default.
